The White Company, which posted sales of £143.8 million for the year to March 29th, 2014, has hired Barbara Horspool to the role of clothing director to develop its expanding apparel segment. Horspool joins from Jigsaw where she held the role of product director and was previously with New Look and Marks & Spencer respectively. The multichannel retailer operates 52 UK,stores and a further 12 in the Middle East, produces catalogues as well as operates online. Its primary focus has historically been on linens and homewares but it has been enjoying growing sales from its womens fashion and baby wear ranges which it now aims to extend via this new appointment.
