WHSmith has launched a book buyback scheme in association with fully managed resale service provider Zeercle. The retailer has introduced the scheme to support what it says is a sustainable future for the books it sells.
Called ‘Bookcycle’ the programme allows consumers to register their good condition used books online to receive a quoted price, and then take the books to certain WHSmith stores. The books are then sold via Zeercle’s resale channels, with any found to be unsuitable for resale recycled.
Participating consumers are rewarded with e-vouchers for the value of the trade-in, which can be used in any WHSmith retail store or on its website.
