Wickes enjoys strong growth

Wickes enjoys strong growth

Revenues at Wickes came in at £1.53bn for the 53 weeks to 1st January 2022 with pre-tax profits of £65.4 million – this compares with the £1.34bn and £65.4m posted for the 52 weeks to 26 December 2020.

CEO David Wood commented that the results reflected a year of excellent growth and praised the hard work of colleagues and suppliers. “Looking ahead, we expect to continue outperforming the market and are well placed to capitalise on the ongoing requirement for home improvement, namely an ageing housing stock, favourable consumer trends and the increased focus on insulating and retrofitting homes”.

“While we recognise the pressure that consumers will be facing in 2022, we have the right model, a strong pipeline and order book, and remain confident of making further progress in the current year driven by a material increase in DIFM revenues.”
