Wilko extends contract with GXO


Everyday household and garden retailer, wilko, has extended its contract and commitment to home delivery with fulfilment provider, GXO to June 2026.

This is the latest move in the retailer’s omnichannel transformation, which focuses on offering customers even more convenient ways to shop across all its channels, including its 400 stores nationwide. wilko is currently focused on ensuring its stores and online offering work in harmony. In February 2023 wilko launched its Click and Collect service, which now accounts for 42 per cent of all online orders and, as a signpost to stores for customers. The collection time for this service was recently improved, meaning items can be ready for pick-up in just two hours.

Other recent digital improvements and strategic partnerships include adding Clearpay to its online checkout, with further initiatives focused on customer convenience and flexibility launching almost weekly. And, the investment in removing friction, delivering on convenience, expectations and building lasting relationships with customers is showing early signs of success with year on year digital sales up 50 per cent on average across the last eight weeks.
