Wolseley UK has made an acquisition of a group of businesses in the Republic of Ireland to extend its reach. Completion of the transaction is subject to clearance from the Irish Competition and Consumer Protection Commission. It includes Heat Merchants, Tubs & Tiles, and Hevac which together employ over 400 staff who will all retain their jobs. The businesses operate from showrooms as well as trading online, supplying both consumer and trade customers.
