Zalando CEO wants to focus on profits


The chief executive of German online retailer Zalando told
Reuters at an investor day that the company will focus on getting its core
markets to profitability this year amid mounting speculation that the etailer
could be ready for a public listing as early as 2014. The website, founded in
2008, is still loss-making as it spends to boost brand awareness to get its
name out on television shows like Germany’s Next Top Model, adds the piece.
