Zalando which has enjoyed an increase in its revenues of 23.5 per cent for the first three quarters of 2017, has now announced plans to launch a beauty products offering early in 2018. This follows the success of ASOS and Amazon as well as the likes of Feelunique which are making strong inroads into the cosmetics, skincare and fragrances sectors. Zalando’s new offering will initially launch in Germany and when proven will then be taken into other markets.
Rubin Ritter, Zalandao’s co-CEO commented: “The expansion into the beauty market is natural next step and reflects the demand of our customers.”
