Bonmarche sales falter

Bonmarche is one of a number of womenswear retailers to report slowing sales for the first half. In Bonmarche’s case like for like sales slipped by 8.6 per cent down to £93.1 million with online sales showing a slight improvement.

New CEO Helen Connolly has commented that work has been and continues to be undertaken to improve the outlook. This has included store refits, new store openings and the launch of a TV campaign to target its core 50+ female market.
