Game Group has promoted Lisa Morgan to the position of chief executive officer. She succeeds Martin Long who steps down after almost three years in the role. Analysts, Seymour Pierce said Long’s departure was “unexpected and unexplained”. When contacted, the spokesperson could not comment other than saying Long had gone “to pursue other opportunities”. David Thomas, group finance director, takes over from Morgan as deputy chief executive. Peter Lewis, chairman of Game Group said, “The board is confident that a combination of Lisa’s retail experience, aligned with David Thomas’ City and financial background, will ensure that Game is well placed to deliver on its UK and international growth plans.”
