Yeovil based Haynes which specialises in DIY and professional car manual publishing has acquired the Clymer motorcycle repair and Intertec Manuals business from Penton Business Media Inc., in the US, for £5.85 million. Haynes. established in 1960, produces printed DIY manuals at its Somerset HQ and also has 100 staff in California, small teams in Australia, Romania and The Netherlands. The latter operates as the base for the professional market. The business has announced a restructure which will see it streamline, outsource distribution and apply greater focus on creating digital editions of its key products.
