Lewis Trust Group (LTG) has acquired an additional shareholding in Mint velvet’ parent company Sabre Retail Fashion. It had originally invested in the brand in 2015. Mint Velvet generated sales of £101 million in the year to April 2018, delivering a pre-tax profit of £13.5 million. The Lewis family behind LTG are best known as the founders and owners of River Island.
An LTG spokesperson said: “This investment reflects high confidence in the business, brand and people. The business continues to be run independently by founders Liz Houghton and Lisa Agar-Rae, who remain invested.”
