Retail chains are turning to mobile technology

According to a survey conducted by Vista Retail Support,
retail chains are turning to mobile technologies to help them deliver better
customer service with 91 per cent of large chain retailers feeling that
connected technologies such as tablets could help staff to improve the
assistance they offer. Three quarters (75 per cent) also agreed that the greater
adoption of in-store mobility could improve the high street shopping experience
and enable a consistent, omnichannel experience. Tablets proved to be a major
hit with 42 per cent of the retailers questioned already rolling out the
technology in their stores, while a further 50 per cent said they plan to adopt
them within the next two years.
