500 new jobs created by THG

THG, has announced that between now and the end of the year it will create a further 500 permanent jobs across its business in the North West of England, as it approaches its peak trading period. Announcing that its third quarter sales to September 30th of £378.1 million were 38.6 per cent up on the same quarter last year, the business raised its guidance for its full year results.

The majority of  the new positions will be in the Group’s technology services division, THG Ingenuity, which has seen rapid growth in demand over the past 12 months, as an increasing number of businesses look to diversify and enhance their direct-to-consumer capabilities. Revenues  for the division grewe to £5.1 million for the third quarter representing a 171.4 per cent increase year on year.

THG is also working with local partners to launch an in-house Skills Academy, to retrain people who are out of work as a result of the ongoing pandemic and offer them sustainable employment.
