The Sunday Times reports that cycling retailer Evans Cycles
posted a 9 percent sales lift last year. Annual sales at Evans topped £100
million for the first time, while operating profits reached £600,000 in the 53
weeks to last November, half the total for the previous year. Pre-tax profits
fell over 50 percent to £323,000, but the company said that was due to the cost
of expansion and developing its online business.
