Republic poised to call in administrators

The BBC reports apparel chain Republic is poised to call in
the administrators today, putting 2,000 jobs at risk. The piece notes the
decline of Republic, which has 121 shops in the UK, is a result of falling
sales and being part of a fiercely competitive section of the retail industry.
It is believed Ernst & Young has been lined up as the administrator.
