Another Christmas winner was Theo Paphitis, whose retail
brands Ryman, Boux Avenue and Robert Dyas, all delivered positive like-for-like
growth over Christmas. Ryman was up 2 percent, Robert Dyas up 14.7 percent and
Boux Avenue was the star performer, with like-for-like sales up 79.4 percent.
Retail startup Boux Avenue has yet to turn a profit, reporting an operating
loss of £8 million on turnover of £6.9 million in its first year of trading.
Paphitis is confident Boux Avenue will be profitable in year ended March 2015.
