Nick Wharton who replaced Will Adderley as chief executive at Dunelm four years ago has left the company paving the way for Adderley to return to the helm of the business his parents founded from a market stall in 1979. Dunelm operates 136 stores and is keen to extend its portfolio in the south of England, where to date it has little penetration.
