Amazon has announced that it will be recruiting around 1,000 new permanent employees for its UK fulfilment centres in the run up to Christmas. These will bring Amazon’s permanent fulfilment staff quota to over 7,000. Some are rumouring that the online giant may be looking to replicate its home delivered food spin-off in the UK. This has proved successful in the USA but others simply say that Amazon volume is already growing considerably and creating the demand without any new service offerings being added.
