The loss-making BHS store chain is up for sale. It was acquired by Sir Philip Green in 2000 for £200m. In recent years its sales have dropped and it has struggled to differentiate itself from wider market competition. It does however retain sector respect for its lighting and wider homewares offerings which a new buyer could well make more of.
