B&Q to close 60 stores

Kingfisher is set to close 60 of its under-performing stores, most of which are in the UK.

B&Q CEO Kevin O’Byrne leaves the business in May and new appointments are being confirmed across the group as it adopts a new operational structure. Arja Taaveniku will join next month as chief supply chain officer with Guy Colleau becoming operations director for Kingfisher’s large stores and Steve Willett taking on the title of omnichannel operations director, overseeing Screwfix.
