Worldpay has announced the availability of an updated integration to the Demandware Commerce Cloud platform, giving retailers the ability to easily expand into new markets and generate new revenue opportunities with a suite of global payment technologies enabled by Worldpay. The new integration includes access to hundreds of alternative payment methods, with 15 types included as default as well as all major cards and best-in-class anti-fraud measures.
The cartridge, certified by Demandware through the LINK Technology Partner Program, launched in January, and was developed by tier 1 systems integrator SapientNitro, which specialises in helping e-Commerce firms expand their global reach. The cartridge will give retailers the ability to offer payment types and schemes such as Alipay, China Union Pay and Qiwi, used around the world. Businesses will be able to consolidate multiple systems across different sales or brand channels by bringing them together with just a single integration – reducing business operating costs and risk. The solution will also give retailers more control over their transactions and further insights into purchasing trends with access to payments data to aid optimisation.
Kevin Dallas, Chief Marketing and Product Officer, Worldpay, said: “Customers use payment methods they feel comfortable with and which they trust; if a retailer or an e-Commerce site doesn’t provide that option then it will make selling online in local markets less profitable. Our cartridge offers retailers end-to-end payment services that scale with their specific business requirements and internationalisation strategy, customised for customers’ payment preferences.”
Tom Griffin, SVP, Corporate Development, Demandware said: “The availability of multiple payment methods, combined with the cost of developing and integrating them, can make it challenging for retailers to offer different local payment types across geographies. The pre-built integration with Worldpay gives our clients easy access to a powerful payment solution that allows them to deploy a large number of payment options tailored to the unique needs of different geographies.”
