Session Digital develops UK’s first Magento 2 websites with Graze.com and Byredo

Session Digital has designed two websites on the latest version of Magento. As Magento 2 launches today, the websites for Graze.com and Byredo are among the first of their kind in the UK and are expected to help the brands boost online sales performance, driving their eCommerce businesses forward.

Session Digital is one of only two agencies in the UK to develop client sites as part of the exclusive Magento 2 beta program. With its improved checkout experience, performance capabilities and inbuilt scalability, Magento 2 is expected to serve agile, ambitious brands, across the eCommerce market.

The subscription-based, snack delivery business Graze.com has worked with Session Digital to launch its first online shop on the innovative new Magento 2 platform. This marks a new direction for the snack producer as it extends its offering and develops its eCommerce arm. The online shop will allow customers to purchase Graze.com products on demand, bolstering the business’s core subscription service on its existing website. The new online shop will sit on Graze.com’s existing Amazon Web Services (AWS) platform.

Edd Read, CTO at Graze.com says, “Graze.com is a technology-driven company. Throughout our business journey so far, technology has allowed us to react quickly to market forces, and develop new products and offerings according to customer demand – faster than any other FMCG business. It was, therefore, a natural step for us to become an early adopter of Magento 2 for the new site. Its balance of advanced eCommerce features, along with the ability to modify and integrate it into our own infrastructure, means that as we continue to develop our offering, we expect to be able to provide a seamless customer experience between the new online shop and our core subscription service site.”

In addition to the Graze online shop, Session Digital is launching the latest site for luxury fragrance brand Byredo, on Magento 2. The site, now live, will enable the retailer to deliver an enhanced customer experience, in line with expectations associated with a premium brand.

Rob Bostock, director of technology at SpaceNK, the group behind Byredo, says, “Our eCommerce strategy is constantly developing in line with consumer demand. Using the Magento 2 platform, Session Digital has developed a website that will ensure our online offering is providing our customers with the high quality service they have come to expect, boosting our performance at the same time.”

As well as working with customers on beta Magento 2 projects, Session Digital is building a migration framework for its existing Magento customers that wish to upgrade to the new platform.
