Pets Corner which operates 110 retail stores and a popular website has acquired the entire shareholding of competitive business PamPurredPets for £6 million. This adds a further 151 stores to the Pets Corner chain, all of which will be rebranded over the coming months. This creates the second-largest pet chain in the UK by store numbers and EBITDA.
Commenting on the deal managing director at Pets Corner Dean Richmond, whose parents originally launched the business from a single store, said: “PamPurredPets enables us to bring the Pets Corner difference to new customers who we hope will enjoy the benefits of our exceptional expert advice and high-quality products in a place that is convenient for them.”
