Coach has made an offer to buy Kate Spade for US $2.4 billion. The deal which is expected to close in the Autumn will provide Coach with access to a younger customer base. “Kate Spade has a truly unique and differentiated brand positioning with a broad lifestyle assortment and strong awareness among consumers, especially millennials”, said Coach CEO Victor Luis. Coach has also been suggested as a potential buyer of Jimmy Choo.
