Young fashion retailer Abercrombie & Fitch, which owns the Hollister brand, has appointed Perella Weinberg Partners to handle takeover approaches in response to interest from acquisitive competitors. The retailer currently has around 900 stores in the US and overseas and is understood to be in the process of closing 60 of its US outlets.
