Matchesfashion is set to open a new distribution centre to support its growing online business. It has chosen a location close to London Heathrow with a site that has the capacity to expand to more than 500,000 sq.ft. which will support its forecast volumes of c4 million shipments a year to customers overseas and in the UK. The business which currently ships to 176 countries expects to create around 200 new jobs when the DC opens.
The company has also expanded its office space in the Shard to 48,000 sq.ft. and has opened a new facility in East London to house its photography, video and editorial teams.
