Primark has confirmed the appointment of Paula Dupont Lopez as its new head of womenswear. Formerly head of womenswear at Zara, Dupont Lopez had been hired by New Look’s then CEO Anders Kristiansen as part of his turnaround plan for the challenged retail chain. The New Look appointment was swiftly aborted when Kristiansen left the business in September.
Primark’s sales continue to grow unabated, rising by 20 per cent to £7.05 billion for the year to September 16th..
