Ingvar Kamprad the founder of IKEA has passed away, aged 91. Kamprad established his business in 1943 at age 17 and steered it until 2013 when he resigned for the board aged 87. IKEA operates 389 stores around the world, generating sales of c£30 billion in 2016, and continues to expand its operations. The company paid its tributes, saying “He worked until the very end of his life, staying true to his own motto that most things remain to be done.”
