The Original Factory Shop is the latest discount retailer to confirm that it will be closing some of its 220 stores whilst seeking to negotiate lower rents for the ones it retains. Owner Duke Street Capital is understood to be ready to invest a further £10 million in the £190 million turnover business in order to achieve a turnaround. CFO Steve Cooke and COO Carl Allen recently joined the management team at the retailer.
