A number of head office roles are under consultation at House of Fraser as Sports Direct works to centralise is retail management activity. HoF’s Baker Street head office was earmarked for closure as one of the cost-cutting measures outlined in the CVA which the retailer’s former directors had agreed with creditors, prior to falling into administration. It is understood that the slimmed down HoF head office staff teams will relocate to Sports Direct’s London office which occupies space above Flannels Oxford Street store. Meanwhile, Sports Direct, which has been in negotiation with the landlords of various of the House of Fraser stores over the past months, has confirmed that the Hull store will now remain open. It had been due to close at the end of December.
