Office has posted annual sales of £285.5 million for the year to 30 July 2018, down from £298.7 million from the previous year. Its profits are also down from £23.4 million to £14.5 million. The retailer which been caught up in House of Fraser’s collapse had lost £700,000 in concession sales which it is most unlikely to recover but it continues to provide stock for the House of Fraser website under its new ownership and may yet return to concessions. Office has 116 stores plus 40 concessions in the UK, Ireland and Germany.
The retailer said that the retail trading environment continued to remain uncertain due to continued concerns over Brexit and depressed consumer demand but that its board remained positive about the future.
