IKEA has named Peter Jelkeby as country manager for the UK and Ireland. He replaces Javier Quinones who is moving to head up IKEA’s retail operations in the USA.
Jelkeby commented: “I’m delighted to return to the UK and Ireland at such a significant point in our history, as we evolve and renew our business to ensure IKEA’s continued success. Jelkeby began his career with IKEA over 20 years ago, spending a spell in the UK which culminated in the role of deputy retail manager for IKEA UK and Ireland. He joins from Clas Ohlson where he held the positions of EVP & COO, director of operations and acting CEO.
