Tesco is to cut 4500 jobs in its mid-sized Metro stores in a bid to reduce operating costs. The retailer says that fewer customers are using these stores for large weekly shops and are instead using them as convenience stores. It is, therefore, looking to simplify its operations and deploy a leaner management structure.
