TK Maxx has taken the punitive action of extending its supplier payment terms from 30 days to 120 days without allowing for consultation or negotiation. It informed its suppliers via a letter from its chief buying officer Roger Bannister. The retailer has also cancelled orders from a number of suppliers, including those which manufacture lines specifically for its stores.
