Howden Joinery Group has reported group revenue of £2.09 billion for the 52 weeks to 25th December 2021 which is 35 per cent up on the £1.55 billion posted for 2020. The business which supplies small builders and other trade customers with kitchens and joinery products, enjoyed strong demand as consumers continued to invest in home improvements.
It had opened 31 additional depots across the UK, upgraded 62 others and opened a further ten depots in France. The business manuactures around a third of the products its sells in the North of England.
Howden CEO Andrew Livingston commented: “2021 was a very successful year for Howdens as we both delivered record financial results and progressed our strategic plans for the business. Our performance demonstrates the strength of our trade only, in-stock local business model and our ability to meet heightened demand for products.
