The international division of Direct Wines has chosen the
Microsoft Dynamics AX IT platform and Omnica MCR solution to
power its back-end processes. The Omnica implementation covers
Direct Wines’ Chateau Direct brand in Germany, with further
go-lives scheduled for Switzerland and Austria in the coming
weeks. A rollout is also under way for its US brands-Lionstone
International and Beveridge Solutions. At the moment, there are
no plans to roll out the solution to the UK business, though
Direct Wines has not ruled out this possibility.
The £300 million wine specialist said it was seeking to
strengthen its position in international markets. It hopes to
achieve organic growth and may also consider making acquisitions
overseas.
