Homecraft Rolyan acquires Mobilis, changes name

Having acquired physiotherapy and sports-medicine cataloguer
Mobilis Healthcare in April, rehabilitation-supplies mailer
Homecraft Rolyan is now changing its name. Its new moniker,
Patterson Medical, reflects its ownership by US medical supplier
Patterson Cos. The consolidated business is being restructured
into five divisions: Homecraft, which sells living aids to
consumers and local authorities; Mobilis Rolyan, targeting the
NHS and private practitioners; international, for exports outside
North America; home shopping and internet; and CCH, which
distributes orthopaedic and orthotic footwear.

Patterson Medical has also announced a £2 million investment
in a new warehouse to accommodate the increased product
inventory. This will create 50 jobs in Sutton-in-Ashfield, which
the company is offering to Oldham-based Mobilis workers who
choose to relocate.

Patterson Medical managing director David Amson said he expected
the amalgamated business to double within the next five years.
The company also expects to grow its international business, as
its distribution network will allow the newly acquired brands to
expand to key territories overseas.
