Ministry of Sound brings home its brand

Music and lifestyle brand Ministry of Sound has relaunched its
website to coincide with the release of its music-compilation
product The Annual 2009. The new website is built on a modified
version of Trinity St’s eCommerce platform, with front-end design
by creative digital agency Delete and a back-end data warehousing
and e-CRM system developed in-house. It enables Ministry of Sound
to sell its entire range of branded music-CDs and digital
downloads-and merchandise as well as tickets for club events
direct to consumers for the first time.

The move also signals the end of third-party advertising on its
website. “For too long we have allowed third-party
retailers to be the sole guardians of the relationships with our
customers,” Rudy Tambala, head of internet and innovation,
said in a statement. The relaunch “is central to our
strategy to establish direct relationships with our customers
whilst also having control over the price, promotion and
fulfilment of our products and events”.
