According to published reports, online marketplace eBay is
planning to launch local-language platforms in six European
countries including Russia, Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece,
Norway, and Sweden. The Russian site is likely to be launched
before the end of March, with the rest to follow later in the
year. The countries were chosen based on demand.
The new websites will allow customers to shop through eBay in
their native languages, but will only allow fixed-price
transactions, rather than auction-format listings.
