As part of its international expansion strategy, California-based
Quiksilver, the outdoor sports lifestyle company, has launched 10
eCommerce websites in different geographies. Using the Demandware
platform, Quiksilver has unveiled sites for Austria, Belgium,
France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands,
Spain and the UK.
The ability to launch multiple sites quickly and efficiently
without compromising the brand experience was a critical
consideration for Quiksilver, explains Nicolas Foulet, the
company’s senior vice president of digital. “Equally
important was the ability to create distinct brand experiences
that we can continuously evolve and enhance for our
customers,” he adds.
Quiksilver’s products are sold in more than 90 countries in a
wide range of distribution, including surf shops, skate shops,
snow shops, through the proprietary Boardriders Club shops and
other company-owned retail stores, as well as through selected
department stores.
The new Quiksilver sites feature more 3,000 products including
footwear and clothing, wetsuits, bags and related accessories.
The sites also make use of videos and interactive look books and
incorporate community and social media to keep board sports
enthusiasts up-to-date and connected with athletes, events and
the innovations. In addition, the UK site features a store
locator, prices in sterling, ratings and reviews, and currently
offers free shipping on all orders.
