Boohoo Group’s CEO John Lyttle says that the group remains committed to manufacturing in the UK – and specifically in Leicester. The business will start manufacturing in its own highly automated facility, in Leicester which will employ an initial 250 staff.
The new ‘model’ factory will, it says, create a blueprint for others as well as become a highly rated garment manufacturing employer with exceptionally good facilities and the latest equipment.
It is seeking to emulate the Inditex Group which also manufactures inhouse, as well as with JV partners.
