Chance to ‘fess up to furlough scheme abuse

Employers are being given 30 days to confess to fraudulent claims following thousands of calls to the furlough fraud hotline. The government expects to uncover instances where businesses have claimed furlough compensation for employees who have continued to work during the period. HMRC is expected to follow up all reports generated via whistleblower reports.
