The owner of Waterstones and Barnes & Noble, Elliott Advisors, has acquired Wordery which is the online book sales division of UK book wholesaler Bertrams. The Wordery business will be run as a separate entity from Waterstones. Bertrams is owned by equity group Aurelius which has said that it is currently reviewing strategic options for Bertram’s subsidiaries Education Umbrella and Dawson Books. The sale of Wordery follows that of Bertram Group’s library businesses Erasmus Antiquariaat en Boekhandel BV and Houtschild Internationale Boekhandel BV to Casalii Libri SPA at the end of March,
