It’s no secret that Covid-19 changed the way consumers shop, and three years later, UK shoppers surveyed said they prefer to shop online. Additionally, shoppers have said it’s more convenient to shop on online marketplaces such as Amazon (86 per cent) and eBay (58 per cent), Etsy (32 per cent), Facebook marketplace (22 per cent) and Temu (14 per cent)

Along with the UK returning to normal post-Covid, Brits still agree that shoppers prefer shopping online over the high streets, with 22 per cent saying high streets aren’t inviting anymore.

Georgia Leybourne, Chief Marketing Officer at Linnworks commented: “Covid-19 rocked the way UK consumers shop for home and garden products, with the majority now preferring to shop online. It is clear that retailers will need to continue to rethink and reshape their approaches to in-store, online and supply chains, to meet constantly evolving consumer expectations.
