American Golf, which is owned by Endless, has posted a pre-tax loss of £10.5 million for the year ended 29 January ’23, down from the previous year’s £7.5 million profit. Sales had fallen to £135.4 million from £153.1 million which the business attributes to macro-economic factors affecting customer spending.
“Post Covid, like many other businesses, we experienced a dip after seeing extraordinary demand during the pandemic, with this compounded by the impacts of the cost-of-living crisis. Despite the market challenges, we are confident about the future and fully expect the golf market to grow,” said the business in its report.
