Danny Emmett who has held the role of chief operating officer at online electricals retailer AO has left the business.

Emmett was expected to succeed John Roberts in the role of CEO. He had been with the business for over a decade.
AO says that the chief operating officer role will now be scrapped. “After 13 fantastic years at AO, Danny Emmett is leaving the business to pursue other opportunities, said John Roberts. “Danny’s development through the company to the boardroom is an inspiration to other AOers and we are extremely lucky to have had him.”
