ASOS is the latest in a number of online retailers to be identified as having used a factory which is alleged to be operating in breach of ethical working practices.
CEO Nick Beighton said that his buyers currently place business with around 30 UK manufacturers, the majority of which are in Leicester. He added that ASOS does not work with the same factories as Boohoo and that its team would be stepping up visits to factories and pressuring owners to improve standards where necessary.
