Word is that ASOS has been quietly negotiating a sale of the Topshop brand which it acquired just under three years ago. This would, pundits say, go some way to getting the ASOS business back on an even keel. It is suggested that Authentic Brands Group is in discussions with ASOS but there is currently no more information than that.
ASOS is due to publish its full-year results next week, having delayed doing so. However, it is most unlikely that even an ‘in principle” deal for Topshop will have been concluded by then.
