Better Bathrooms has entered administration and 325 of its staff have been made redundant. Joint administrator Phil Pierce of FRP Advisory confirmed that all stores and trade counters had been shuttered.
The business had struggled in a soft housing market which led to a slow down in sales from those refurbishing newly bought homes. Ten staff have been retained on short term basis to assist the administrators who are seeking potential buyers for the assets.
“The challenges facing the UK retail industry are well known and are putting immense pressure on businesses operating in the sector,” said Pierce.
