Consumer trust in retailers drops


New research from CatEx DCA gold sponsor the Data Agency
revealed that consumer trust in how their personal data is handled has fallen
by 11 per cent in two years. Some 62 per cent of the 1200 consumers polled are
happy for retailers to use their data and insight to personalise services,
offers and marketing materials, with 21 per cent happy to provide even more
information to receive a more personalised service. Amazon, John Lewis and
Waitrose were identified as delivering the best buying experience.
